Please Include kmod-video-uvc package in the official repo

  • I was using kmod-video-uvc and a video camera to stream to a webpage, now when I try to reinstall kmod-video-uvc I get:

    root@Omega-9BB7:~# opkg install kmod-video-uvc --nodeps
    Package kmod-video-uvc (4.9.44-1) installed in root is up to date.
    Configuring kmod-video-uvc.
    failed to find a module named uvcvideo
    Collected errors:
    * pkg_run_script: package "kmod-video-uvc" postinst script returned status 255
    * opkg_configure: kmod-video-uvc.postinst returned 255.
    root@Omega-9BB7:~#

    uname -r returns: 4.4.46
    onion firmware: 0.1.10 b160

    I'm assuming its because its missing in the repositories, if not would anyone mind guiding me in the right direction?

  • I am receiving this same error. Not sure where to go with this.

  • since omega install states already installed i would try to remove that .ipk and then install it thinking that it may be a bad install or the already installed message is wrong. it seems that something in the current install is broken so try to get rid of the install and try fresh install.
