In the community, I found a mention of broken or inoperative firmware.
Firmware was reinstalled via u-boot from usb flash drive. I tried 158, 159, 160. The result is one.

[ 12.199102] random: jshn: uninitialized urandom read (4 bytes read, 21 bits of entropy available)
[ 12.363859] random: jshn: uninitialized urandom read (4 bytes read, 21 bits of entropy available)
    [ 24.542611] EEPROM:Read from [factory] offset 0x0,length 0x400.

So, I tried more powerful power supplies. Without a result.
Nevertheless, there is access to u-boot and LEDE.

What is your opinion and what I can do with it?

  • @Daniel-La-Zar
    Which dock are you using?
Usually, the answer to this type of problem is a power supply of 1A+ and a short heavy gauge usb cable connecting the power supply to the dock.

In my experience, the Onion doesn't much like 500mA power supplies and long thin usb cables.

  • i see that often . at first [ a year ago] i was a bit concerned and wondered about those messages so i googled the output from dmesg and there are various discussions about the messages none of which raise any large concern. my omega2 devices work well [relatively] despite the messages. so i just forgot about it.

  • @cas
I do not use dock. Later I will do it myself.
First I checked the power problem. And no, it does not affect the error. Because my dc-dc converter can withstand a load of 4A. And I'm using an external power source, not an usb port.

  • Based on this discussion, the problem lies in the firmware. For some reason, the data on the [factory] partition is broken.
As I understand it, for some reason this section is not updated during the update.
Can anyone send me an image of this section for omega2+?

  • @Daniel-La-Zar there is a thread now from a fellow who uses mtd to backup the omega and i think his method is able to copy the factory partition so perhaps he can supply you a copy if in fact you think that is your issue

You have got a power supply problem.
You should use a good power supply: stable 3.3V DC, can provide at least 500mA current, good transient response (input - output capacitors!), short thick wires and good connection to Omega2(+).

At least try to put a 10uF (or more) "curative" capacitor directly between the 3.3V and GND pins of Omega2+ 😉
