Solid led light and not AP exposed

  • Looking at the console i see this:

    root@Omega-2376:/# [ 221.470000] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0-1: link is not ready
    [ 221.720000] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready

Console output for swifisetup looks weird too:

    root@Omega-2376:/# i..[Jwifisetup

    Onion Omega Wifi Setup

    Select from the following:
    1) Scan for Wifi networks
    2) Type network info
    q) Exit

    Selection: sh: 1: unknown operand
    sh: 2: unknown operand
    Bye!
    root@Omega-2376:/#

  • Hi @Kenneth-Lim, did you use the wifisetup command to setup the wifi?

  • Seems ok now after wifisetup and using screen instead of a console app.

Any reason why the wifi AP did not turn on on boot up?

  • Hi @Kenneth-Lim, it seems that your Omega was configured to connect to your home router, but wasn't able to connect properly. In order to turn on the Access Point, your primary network needs to be either turned off or properly connected. Since it wasn't connected properly, access point wasn't able to start. We do have a service running in the back ground called wifi-saint that checks to see if primary network is setup properly, and turn it off in order to allow access point to run, however, it is run at an interval of every 5 minutes.
