  • So out of the box I got an onion omega with expansion dock but my omega had the testing os on it I obtained the ethernet expansion and I attempt to flash the omega following the instructions here https://wiki.onion.io/Tutorials/Reflash-The-Firmware-With-Ethernet-Expansion but My ar7240> console does not have httpd

    ar7240> help
reset - Perform RESET of the CPU
    ? - alias for 'help'
boot - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd'
bootd - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd'
bootm - boot application image from memory
    cp - memory copy
    erase - erase FLASH memory
    help - print online help
    md - memory display
    mm - memory modify (auto-incrementing)
    mtest - simple RAM test

ping - send ICMP ECHO_REQUEST to network host

What do I do in this situation? I cant use my omega untill I flash it.

Have a look if this is your case too and confirm that you where fast enough to (within this 3 seconds) ... as i can read, your prompt should be Onion> and not ar7240> ?!

  • I think that this is yet another example of your Omega having the test firmware. You and several of us!!!!

Yeah, I was told this had the test firmware on it, but I was told I could reflash it if I got the ethernet expansion wich I have now. But I can't reflash. Im really starting to be disappointed in this product.

  • Hi Chris,

I will order a replacement shipment for your Omega as it should not have shipped with the testing firmware. I apologize for the inconvenience!
