A while back I had a similar problem. I was using an Omega2+ with a power dock. I had connected the serial via ftdi-usb to my PC with Putty as my terminal. I checked drivers, speed, parity etc. but still had a display just like yours. Eventually it turned out to be a bad ground connection between the dock and ftdi.

I would like to setup an internet radion on my Onion using MPD/MPC. MPD installed without any problems, however, MPC returned "unknown package". Is this available? What repository should I use?

@Mikaël-PIRIO Thanks for all your efforts. After a day of frustration, I found your post. Following your advice, I was finally able to connect to my home wifi.

@crispyoz Thanks for your prompt reply. I do not use a custom build. I guess I will have to just try and see what happens.

I am currently using several 2+ devices as MPD servers. Some on power dock and some on expansion dock.
Due to experience and familiarity I use Luci and Putty SSH to monitor /administer these devices.
Devices are currently on Firmware Version: 0.2.2 b200
Oupgrade recommends upgrade to Firmware Version: 0.3.2 b233
Last time I upgraded ( admittedly some time ago) the device was left as a clean installation and I had to re-install and reconfigure the necessary components. Whilst this is not difficult, it is time consuming and a little annoying.
Before I go ahead with the upgrade I would like to hear from other users about their experiences.

Ques 1:
Does oupgrade still do this and force me to reinstall and reconfigure components?

Ques 2:
Has anybody have any experience using Luci to upgrade firmware on the Omega2+?

Thank you for the guide. Received my new Omega2+ today and within 10 mins it was up and running with OpenWrt and Luci.

Maybe the powers that be might consider the option of having Onion OS, Luci or both as a setup option.

I was hoping that someone has detailed instructions for removing the console gui. As mentioned, I tried as per year old instructions and was not successful.

I wish to install LUCI on my Omega2. I have seen and followed the few postings already on this forum. As they are over one year old the suggestions do not work. I am currently using version 0.2.1 b199. Not ready to upgrade yet as the upgrade usually clears my custom settings.
Has anyone more recent information as to how I can install LUCI?
