if they don't want the broken one back, i'll try to hit it with a heat gun to see if i can reflow the solder, maybe that will do something
Thanks for the help!
I can't see anything obviously wrong on the outside, but i guess the DRAM is under the shield. The firmware installation page you linked won't work, as it requires you to be able to boot the omega :/ Is there any way to upload it via Serial?
I just got my omega, and don't have a USB dock for it, so i plugged it into my bench power supply set to 3.3v. Nothing happened except for it getting a bit warm (but not so hot i couldn't touch it). It draws around 160mA. After a few minutes it went down to 60mA, but still no blinking on the LED's and no hotspot. Anything i can do?
I get this from the Serial port when i power it up:
/ __ ___ ()_ ___ / __ __ _ ___ ___ ____ _
/ // / _ / / _ / _ \ / // / ' / -) _
_/////_//// _////_/_, /_,/
W H A T W I L L Y O U I N V E N T ? /__/"
Board: Onion Omega2 APSoC DRAM: 1 MB
relocate_code Pointer at: 80060000
And yes, i checked that i didn't plug it in backwards
