@Lazar-Demin I don't own another onion, so I don't know. I'll try to put the normal bootloader on the Arduino Dock with an Arduino Uno to see with I can still use it as an Arduino for now
Your MCP4131 are bit careful for use with SPI.
3.3 Serial Data In / Serial Data Out (SDI/SDO)
On the MCP41X1 devices, pin-out limitations do not allow for individual SDI and SDO pins. On these devices, the SDI and SDO pins are multiplexed.
The MCP41X1 serial interface knows when the pin needs to change from being an input (SDI) to being an output (SDO). The Host Controller’s SDO pin must be properly protected from a drive conflict.
Please check datasheet page 41. You can see the "Typical MCP41X1 SPI Interface Connections (Host Controller Hardware SPI) " wireing.
@Alan-Smith I think thats the way how you shot images with webcams - thats why i decided to use gphoto2 library to shot photos from a camera.
Well, that wont be an alternative for you if you need to take videos also. Anyway it may be worth to have a look on the library because some webcams are supported also:

@Matt-Ogborne you are correct, we are using full blown Plolymer 1.0. You can extend the console with any custom elements. To run a linux command you will need to use the 'exec' function under the ' file ' ubus service. ubusProvider is the place to get started.
Yep, @Kit-Bishop is correct!
One addendum about the GPS Expansion, it is actually USB based, so it can be used with the Expansion Dock, Mini Dock, and Arduino Dock.

The problem with the serial is I am on el captain and it doesn't seem to work with it
Howdy Josh,
I've had one of my onions play up on my desk, while the other 2 were fine with the office wifi.
A serial connection is the way to go and a tip is when you first connect on the COM port (make sure the baud speed is 115200) is to bash a couple of keys in the terminal until you see the message "press enter to start...", then hit enter and tada! Other wise it just stays as a blank screen
After that run "wifisetup" and follow the instructions.
Hope that helps Joshua,
Matt
Like i expected.. with external antenna, placed far away (> 60cm) from onion the gps signal is good. Below 60cm the gps signal becomes weak or completely unable to find a fix.
What is causing this on the onion? Honestly, but that would be a desaster that the onion causes such big interferences!
Cheers Ben
