I don't use this app but I suspect you can configure which address it listens on. The issue may be that it is trying to bind on the 0.0.0.0 address (listen on all IP) and is failing on one of the interfaces which may not be the one you want to use.

I just typed "shairport-sync" in the console and it started.
Now i added "shairport-sync" like you said to  /etc/rc.local just before the exit line and now shairport starts when the Omega finished booting.

Are you using USB speakers directly into the Omega dock? I believe the error is because you need the speakers to be plugged into a USB sound card (since the Omega doesn't have a sound card built-in)

speaker-test -Dplug:front -c2 -tsine -f440
