Is it possible???
Also can the omega boot off a usb drive, like, debian server or something?
Also if I expand the filesystem to occupy my usb drive, what happens if I boot the omega with the usb drive not plugged in?

can the omega boot off a usb drive, like, debian server or something?

The Omega boots from it's flash memory, no more, no less.

But what you can do after the boot sequence is to mount another file system in your USB key, and run Omega compiled apps and use data stored there.

if I expand the filesystem to occupy my usb drive, what happens if I boot the omega with the usb drive not plugged in?

You should see an error in your system log file informing you that the mount command failed.
