I just wanted to connect my HiFiBerry DAC to the Onion. Howver, I can't find any documentation how to use the I2S interface of the Omega2. Is there any documentation available?
@onion Can you please provide the necessary documentation?
Did you see this:
@Luciano-S He talks about the I2S pins not I2C. According to the documentation Omega 2 has I2S
Has anyone succeeded in getting the hifiberry running? I would also like to try this. By theory, if it is possible to get the kernel drivers running, just connect i2c and i2s wires and enjoy the music ;)
Any news about how to use i2s on Omega2?

From what is going on in other threads, it doesn't seem like anyone has. For those of us the shelled out the cash for the Rocki board with I2S, we are finding it frustrating now being able to use it.
But, even if we get it working in LEDE, it won't be of much help for users of the original Omega2 firmware as long as it's build settings and components are not fully open sourced (here it is again, my ceterum censeo, dear @administrators)
Any news about i2s on Omegas?
@Xplatforms We haven't been actively working on I2S since we haven't received many incoming inquiries about it.
If members of the community get it running, our build system and configuration is now open source: https://github.com/OnionIoT/source
Please submit a PR and we will merge it in as soon as we have the chance.
@Malcolm-White-0 The Rocki Audio Expansion also has USB-based audio, so it's definitely usable.
See our guide on USB-based audio: https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/usb-playing-audio.html
