Serial randomly add ASCII character (▒) to command line (FIXED)
Just received my Omega2+ and trying to setup the WIFI via the Serial port with a small dock, I keep receiving randomly ASCII characters 176 (▒) when I type which cause alway error.
Device Firmware Version: 0.1.9 b149
Software: Putty & MobaXterm
Console setup: Speed 115200 / 8 bit / Full Duplex.
Windows 7 64bits
Any idea where it is coming from and how we can disable it?
@Eric If this is under Linux, you may have ModemManager running in the background and it pinging the serial-port.
@WereCatf I'm running Windows 7 (just add it) and none of all my Arduino/ESP8266 and other Micro controller have this behaviour. Do anyone else have this issue?
root@Omega-BC07:~# ▒ls -a▒lstr
/bin/ash: ▒ls: not found
@Eric Well, then I have no idea.
Have you installed the drivers for Windows?
Thanks everyone, found the problem! It is my miniDock that was causing it. I try an extension dock and work perfectly. I'll test other miniDocks and will report later if this is general or just this one.
