Game controller using Omega2+

  • Hi,

I am trying to build a pinball front-end for virtual pinball.

I have previously bought and used an IPAC controller for sending the key stroked to my PC from the buttons.

I'm looking for a cheaper/smaller solution and stumbled on the Arduino Trinket:
    https://learn.adafruit.com/trinket-usb-keyboard/wiring

But since I have an Omega 2+ here doing nothing, Im wondering how I can achieve the same thing using it.

I have seen tutorials using various programming languages but its not clear to me how to read the GPIOs and send key strokes (left shift, right shift enter, space etc..) to my PC over the USB cable.

Ideally I would write this using node.js as it's something I have a small degree of familiarity with (unlike Python or C++ etc..)

Any suggestions of some tutorials of advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
