For our entry in the competition:
http://www.instructables.com/id/SureTrac-Open-Source-Software-Integrated-GPS/At Gunner Technology we needed a GPS module that could send raw NMEA sentences to our servers and we couldn't find any solutions that would let us send the data directly to our servers. So when we saw the awesome Onion Omega, we decided to build our own!
We learned a ton about the Onion Omega, and really prefer them to other router SoCs, we definitely plan to use them for our future projects!
