@Robert-Bennett Solved by re-flashing by putting the omega2p image on a 4GB USB memory stick and re-flashing. After flashing was complete, powered off, removed USB memory stick, powered on - and the last 4 digits of the MAC address on the sticker appeared in the WiFi network device list (where after the previous re-flashing the digits were 0000).

History:
Started upgrade via WiFi omega-xxxx 12345678 method, but lost power. Obtained image file , connected via USB serial port and burned image from USB stick. But now WiFi scan shows omega-0000 instead of last 4 of original Mac address (plus a kernel panic).
Question:
How can I program the Mac address?
