Originally I was using my Mac to do the web recovery and was getting the error: Loading: ### Error: couldn't find start of data in next packet!
I switched to a different Mac and then the web recovery worked using the exact same steps and firmware binaries.

I am unsure if I need to include the omega2-base and the omega2-lte-base. I just want to be able to prepare firmwares for the omega2-lte with some custom files/packages and not have to worry about firmware mismatching or factory resetting like in the cloning/overlay method.

I am trying to make custom firmware images in the openwrt-imagebuilder-wrapper for the omega2lte. How do I add the build model to the profile?
I was able to successfully make and compile firmware for the omega2 and omega2+ but these firmwares don't work on the omega2lte device. Here are the errors:

@MickB I tried several different versions. For the omega2lte I tried version omega2lte-v0.3.3-b251.bin, omega2lte-v0.3.4-b257.bin. I even tried the one in the web recovery article for the omega2: omega2-v0.3.2-b235.bin. And yes, I redownloaded several times. I was using this url for the binaries btw: http://repo.onioniot.com/omega2/images/
I also tried uploading a new uboot binary and they all give that same error for some reason. I choose the file, hit upload and the console just prints: Loading: ### Error: couldn't find start of data in next packet!.
Not sure why it's doing this but now I have 3 omega2lte devices that are bricked.
It's interesting because I have 3 that are acting the same way. I even tried to update the uboot and it still says the same thing for each type of upload regardless of firmware or uboot.

I tried using that firmware already, I used these three with the same error when trying to load and none of them worked:

I seem to have gotten my new omega2lte global unit stuck in a boot loop. I tried to flash an overlay of a firmware on v251 to a v257 and it didn't work. Next I tried to hold the factory reset button to do a reset and now it seems to be stuck in a boot loop. I'm connected serially and it just says kernel panic. I put it into web recovery mode and downloaded the omega2lte firmware from the official repository.
I managed to get the web recovery portal working but everytime I upload a firmware the console just says:

I have tried with some different omega2lte firmwares and just some regular omega2 firmwares but it has the same error each time.
