Mini Port Expansion
-
Hello,
Can you make a "Mini Port Extensions [Dock]" with 8x2 female pins on both [free] ends? As a result, a sandwitch from the Mini Dock+Mini Port Extensions+Omega can be used in some small projects.

Hi Vyacheslav,
Would you be able to draw out a simple illustration to help us understand what this board would look like?
Cheers!

@Vyacheslav-Bachynskyi That makes much more sense now. We did not have this planned, but we do have an Omega dock planned that allows you to plug it into the breadboard. It's very much like the illustration you have drawn here, but it goes horizontally, parallel to the headers that you plug the Omega into. Will that be able to accomplish the same thing that you are trying to accomplish?

Maybe, can you show how it will looks like?

Hi @Vyacheslav-Bachynskyi, sorry for the delayed reply. What we were imagining is something like this:
Please let me know what you think.

@Boken-Lin so this will be just cheap plate which you can put in between omega and minidock to have access to the connectors?
My battery dock is postponed. Will it be possible to ship it later with these plates (just not to pay shipping just for this)?
-
@Petr-Cermak We are not working on this right now. It's just something that we have planned. We are not expending any resources to work on new expansions until everything has been shipped.
-
@Boken-Lin That's great, if it can be used in between Onion and the Dock mini - it will be awesome. Also if you'll sacrifice 4 pins (GND, 5V, USB- and USB+), you can add a mounting holes. So both sides will have 13 external female pinouts (13+13, ~33.2mm).

@Vyacheslav-Bachynskyi good idea!
