Omega2 Pro Console is repeating a message

  • After the Omega2 Pro boots up, I keep a monitor on the serial console. The following was on the console the next day.

    BusyBox v1.28.3 () built-in shell (ash)

    / __ ___ ()__ ___ / __ _ _ ___ ___ ____ _
    / // / _ / / _ / _ \ / // / ' / -) _ / _ /
    _
    /////___//// _////_/_, /_,/

    O-ware: 0.3.1 b214

    [57721.495145] Interface apcli0 link up! (WPA2PSK AES)
    [64927.688575] Interface apcli0 link up! (WPA2PSK AES)

    I assume this is normal. But why is this message repeating? From the timestamps it's repeating every 2 hours.

    Thanks.

    @dklinkman this is the wifi driver saying that it's successfully connected to your network. Seems like it's getting disconnected and then reconnecting, is your device in a place with weak signal or maybe in a place with many WiFi networks (lots of noise)?

  • The device is about 10 feet from the AP. Curious that this occurs at precise 2 hour intervals. That doesn't seem like noise or weak signal. Maybe I'll look at the AP settings to see if there is an inactivity setting or something. Though I've never heard of that.
