 For me, installing the 'python3-light' package seems to have worked. (Note that the binary is 'python3' rather than 'python') root@Omega-12D9:~# python3 --version Python 3.4.3

 @Rudy-Trujillo I see, you just need to uninstall all the packages that start with python-. The base package that we were looking for waspython-light.
