what am I doing wrong? (can't start)

You should see my post "Omega Arrived!!!"
I didn't even have the pins set in all the way. When you push it together, you feel like you're pressing to hard then, with just a little more, it sinks in nicely.

Thx, I could push a bit more (and reset, unplug and plug again the omega ,unplug and plug again the power) ) ,
I saw your post (https://community.onion.io/topic/229/omega-arrived/12)
but still continued with the same problem,
I already update the Photos, on the url (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_Edld75CW9ES0Nwb0hfd3pOVnM&usp=sharing)

Based on the pics, you've seeded it perfectly (I'm sure Boken will correct me )
Try this, in order:
- Close Putty and turn off Omega
- Plug into different USB port (could be a power issue)
- Turn on Omega
- When Omega has finished startup (blinking amber light stays solid), then open putty on your desktop and then connect
- When the screen pops up, hit "Enter"
If you have a laptop, try to connect to the Onion through the wireless (192.168.3.1....use Firefox). See if that helps you.
If it doesn't, power your Omega with a cellphone power adapter, and connect using the wireless settings.

following the @SDuquet steps=
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itx5BcA45W4 (sry for Vertical video)
after that I tried with the mini dock , and with another cable=
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO-3YDz1OVc (sry for Vertical video)
but the yellow light don't blink , just stay on lower.
-
Yeah, you followed the steps and all looks right to me. It's possible it might be having an issue starting up. The light not changing is what I'm worried about. Although, I'm sure @Boken-Lin will have some insight. Do you have the Ethernet extension?

This post is deleted!

Only the mini dock, and expansion dock .
I'll have my fingers crossed for the @Boken-Lin answerthx

Hi @Gabor-Flandorffer, Unfortunately from the picture you sent, i'm unable to tell what's wrong with it. Can you try connecting the Omega to the Mini Dock and see if it's the same? It's quite strange that you are not seeing anything on the serial console.
-
@Boken-Lin
im already tried, but the same = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFWO8A6KwEs
I also tested on another computer with both docks, and 3 diferents cables.
-
In my case Omega didn't work because I used cables from other USB powered devices (from my headphones, power banks, etc). After switching to cable from Arduino Leonardo I was able to connect to Omega. Probably some cables have only power function without data transfer
-
@Vitalii-Topoliuk , if I connect my phone and can transfer files.
that means that has data transfer, not?
-
can i do Anything else ?
-
Hi @Gabor-Flandorffer, We will send you a replacement Omega. Is your address still the same?
-
Yes , my address still the same ,
(if is not very expensive, I can send you back the broken)
(give me the adress to ask at the post office)
-
@Gabor-Flandorffer : Is that windows 10, and if so did you use the beta USB to serial drivers? The ones Onion has posted in the download section only work for win7/8.
See: https://community.onion.io/topic/329/windows-10-cp210x-driver/2
(@Boken-Lin, maybe we can update the downloads/documentation to reference the different driver for Win10?)

@Josh-Rosenthal Thx, I did not know existed that driver, I've tried with that driver,(but nothing)
but to discart any conflict problem I tested drivers in the laptop of my father (Windows 7), but still with the same problem, the yellow light dont blink=
https://youtu.be/FIRsPDyMoyg(already tested with both docks)
-
@Josh-Rosenthal Good idea. I will do that.
