I can't connect to my own wifi (2nd page of set-up)
-
Hi,
i finally got my onion with the docks...I connect my laptop with the omega wifi and browse than to 192.168.3.1
after logging in, with root and onioneer , i choose my own wifi.
When i press the configure WiFi button, my (linux) laptop disconnects from the Omega WiFi and connects to my own wifi...And the onion page says: you can't disconnect to the wifi.....
Where is the problem?

A screenshot of the fail in chrome debug
(in firefox i don't see the login from the first page at all... only in chrome/chromium)
-
... only worked, when i made the WiFi to NO password....
is there, after the rebooting, a possiblity to "log in" to the onion board?
ssh wasn't working ...

@Joergi-Joergi Hi Joergi, there could be a bug with our Wi-Fi configuration app. Does your Wi-Fi SSID or passphrase have any symbols in them?
-
yeah
the WIFI-SSID has some
_
and the password has some
$
-
@Joergi Hmmm, that shouldn't make a difference. Can you try to setup the wifi using Chrome or Opera?
-
... i have made my Wifi for a short time without security
than I could connect it.and yes, i was doing this all with Chrome (Firefox was not working at all!)
-
@Joergi Can you check the wifi security setting you are using? If you are using WEP security instead of WPA, it could be potentially be the reason that it's not working.

@Boken-Lin said:
it was WPA2

@Boken-Lin Can you connect to the Omega using serial terminal, and use the
wifisetup
command to setup the wifi. Please show me the output of the serial terminal.
-
@Boken-Lin after connecting via the terminal, the wifi setup was no problem..
but it was not working from the start setup...
anyway, it works now, so all good
-
@Joergi Ok. Sorry about the inconvenience!
