Mosquitto cross compile with libwebsockets no luck

A friend and I have been trying to cross compile mosquitto with libwebsockets for the past few days. And without success. What are we missing? Have any of you had any success in doing so successfully to were you have mosquitto enabled with websockets running on your Omega2+?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
