Internet my thing (or how to get a IPv6 GUA)

  • First note: still running the old firmware

The O2(+) appears to come up in the WiFi network with an IPv6 link-local address. I'd like to be able to access the device from anywhere. As such one step will be to configure the device such that the interface will come up with an IPv6 global unicast address (GUA).

I did some of the obvious keyword searches on the forum, however each posting in which someone included an "ifconfig" command is in the response - yikes!

Does anyone know what config change is required to tell the device to negotiate for a GUA? Is a move to the "new" firmware required?

    thanks!
    Bill
