How to connect to a network share as a client.
-
Hello Forum,
As the title suggest, I am trying to connect to a share on my network.
When I try (ensuring that /mnt/music exists):
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.200/music /mnt/music -o user=u,pass=p
I get the following:
mount: mounting //192.168.1.200/music on /mnt/music failed: No such device
I have installed both:
samba36-client
nfs-utilsReading around the forum, it suggests that I may not have the correct kernel drives loaded and that I will have to rebuild the OS.
Surely, you would not need to build the OS for mounting a network share as a client?Any help and / or suggestions will be gratefully received...
Kind Regards,
Harold Clements
