How to use Bluetooth LE expansion?

I am very new at using the Omega, and I am unable to set up the bluetooth. I get it to connect to my phone, however after that step I do not know what to do? I have installed bluez packages, however due to poor documentation I do not how to use the library with omega. Any help would be great!
