About new RFID expansion
-
Hello,
I'm curious about the new RFID expansion so I was looking for it's schematics in the usual repo but had no luck finding it.
Is yet to be publiced ? If public, where's the link?
Thank you

@Carlos-Sancho I think this high resolution photo and @pavel-metrokhin said almost everything: there's an NXP PN532 controller chip and a stripline (or rather a microstrip;) antenna on the board and it communicates with Omega serially via UART1. ( 2-Bullet Wednesday
Presumably you know Omega's other expansion boards too. I would be highly surprised if the Onion's board was a more sophisticated NFC / PN532 implementation than the example schematic of the NXP application note - or eg. this Electrodragon board except for the antenna:
PN532 NFC RFID Easy Module R2 (this may be its schematic).See also in the official Onion Omega2 Documentation:

Thank you for you answer. From my knowledge it could also be using ISP bus so I don’t know hownare you so sure. I’ve been searching and no one says the library uses UART or ISP.

In fact is more probable that is using ISP or I2C rather than UART.

Still nothing ?

@Carlos-Sancho What about the above Onion links?
Have you ever read the official Onion Omega2 DocumentationPlease read - at least - this text in Using the RFID & NFC Expansion:
