@D-S
Without any information to analyse it's not possible to help you, unless someone has experienced exactly the same problem and overcome it.Have you tried following these FAQ items?
- FAQ: How do I scan for surrounding WiFi networks?
- FAQ: How do I check if I'm successfully connected to a WiFi network?
The information output from them may help us to understand what is happening on your site.
Otherwise, if you feel that this is too advanced for you at the moment, please describe what steps you are following (with links to the documentation) and perhaps provide some screenshots of the outcome showing the problems that you are facing.

@D-S If I were you I'd try to solve this issue simply with a Factory Reset (except if this is some academic research ;-).

These mac addresses appear to be somewhat closely related:
e6:cb:bc:49:f7:22
e0:cb:bc:49:f7:22e0:cb:bc:49:ff:91
e6:cb:bc:49:ff:91Are there really 6 different AP's in range?
What names are these AP's seen as by your other devices?
Perhaps, as @György-Farkas suggests, a reset of your device may be helpful. Also perhaps an update to the latest firmware may offer a different result.
-
@cas Volumio (b8:27:eb) can be a Raspberry Pi.
The others (e0:cb:bc) might belong to Cisco Meraki.What names are these AP's seen as by your other devices?
I also would be curious.
-
Factory reset has made no difference whatsoever.
The SSID names all include ASCII characters and character length is less than 12.Any more ideas?
-
@ab
Not really, unfortunately.It seems to me that the current wifi kernel module is unable to correctly interpret one or more of these ASCII characters and since it's a closed source component, you cannot examine it to find out why.
You might want to log a ticket on the Onion helpdesk and provide them with these ASCII characters, together with a pointer to this thread and a request to troubleshoot the wifi module. Perhaps that way they can enhance the module with some new functionality or a bug fix, whatever may be necessary?
Apart from that, or perhaps changing your SSID's, I'm not really sure what else to suggest.
