Connecting to WPA Enterprise EAP-TLS

  • Hi,

Does the latest version of the OS support WPA Enterprise EAP-TLS?

    I see a note here:

    https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/known-firmware-issues.html

Which makes it sound like it should work if it does not require a password.. but it is not working for me, and I'm not sure if the config I should be using is even valid..

            option device 'radio0'
            option mode 'sta'
            option ifname 'apcli0'
            option network 'wwan'
            option led 'omega2p:blue:wifi'
            option ssid 'XXX'
            option encryption 'wpa2+aes'
            option eap_type 'tls'
            option ca_cert '/etc/wifi-certs/ca.crt'
            option client_cert '/etc/wifi-certs/onion1.crt'
            option priv_key '/etc/wifi-certs/onion1.key'
            option disabled '0'```

  • I just found this in dmesg on the onion.. I am not sure if it was from trying the config I pasted or other configs.. I haven't ran across any documentation on how to set up EAP-TLS (client mode)

    [ 6958.035242] Interface apcli0 link up! (WPA2PSK AES)

I also found this in my AP that I am trying to connect to:

    Sun Jul 28 22:07:14 2019 daemon.notice hostapd: wlan1-1: AP-STA-POSSIBLE-PSK-MISMATCH 40:a3:6b:aa:bb:cc

When I run wifi there is something changing various stanzas, it was insisting on blanking the option encryption in wifi-iface.
