Determining power dock battery level from command line?
-
Hi everyone,
Other than the external LEDs, is there any way to see what the current battery level using a command-line utility. It would be nice to be able to send out a warning and gracefully shut things down if the battery level is getting low.

+1 To this request. I would settle for even being able to detect when we're running off battery power or not.

After looking up the datasheet its not possible to do this without doing something extra
The battery controller chip does not have a communication line with the cpu only a GPIO to turn the leds on

+1 to this request as well.
$ power-dock -v is not very useful - especially when I'm remote. It's IoT, w/ wireless connectivity - I don't plan to have line of sight to the device all the time.
Imagine power-dock is like uname:
-a Print all
-s status: Charging|Depleting
-l level: nn.n
