Help creating build system for cross compile
I am trying to build the cross compiler for the Onion Omega2+. I keep getting this error when running the make after following the make menuconfig instructions.
/usr/include/asm-generic/int-ll64.h:31:42: error: conflicting types for '__u64' 31 | __extension__ typedef unsigned long long __u64; | ^~~~~
I found a guide online with a patch file but that didn't work. Not sure if I did it wrong. Here is the link: https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargoyle/issues/832

RE: USB not mounting [Beta Firmware 22.03.3]
I was able to fix it. I didn't even think about my /etc/config/fstab. I had anon_mount off. With it on I can now use my USB

RE: USB not mounting [Beta Firmware 22.03.3]
@Lazar-Demin Sorry about the late reply I have been away for a bit and missed your response. Here is my dmesg output. Removing the USB did not freeze my onion and I can still access it

RE: USB not mounting [Beta Firmware 22.03.3]
@Lazar-Demin I was able to get around the need of a USB by using ftp through wireguard that I have set up. I can still send you the logs if you want if it will help with development and production of 22.03
-
RE: USB not mounting [Beta Firmware 22.03.3]
@Lazar-Demin I do not. Which is weird because I do see those logs on my Onion that has OpenWRT 18. I got around this by simply using ftp but I would like to be able to use the usb on my expansion dock so where should I start debugging?

USB not mounting [Beta Firmware 22.03.3]
I am trying to access files from my USB on my Onion Omega2+ using the expansion dock. I have installed the new beta firmware but when I check
/mnt
my microsd card appears but not my USB. I have ckecked and I believe I have all the necesary kmods:ehci-platform
,ohci-platform
,usbcore
, andusb-storage
. I am unsure of what config I need to modify or if there are some packages or modules I am missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated -
RE: ⭐️ Beta Firmware Update: NodeJS v16.19, OpenWRT 22.03.3, PWM, and more! ⭐️
@Lazar-Demin I can't upload files to the Onion anymore. I'm not sure if its a setting I got to change but I can't access it through
WinSCP
orrsync
anymore. What do I need to change to fix this? -
RE: Wireguard Client set up
@huntc Sorry to bother you again but I figured my issue with wg-quick (I think). Have you ever been able to install packages such as node or node-npm with your custom image?
-
RE: Wireguard Client set up
@huntc It is now working and I am able to ssh into the Onion. How did you set up your wireguard client? Because the command "wg-quick" which I had normally used when setting up wireguard is not recognized
-
RE: Wireguard Client set up
@huntc I flashed in your sysupgrade and now The onion wont appear on my wifi and I can't ssh into it. This ever happened to you?
-
RE: Wireguard Client set up
@huntc The wg-quick command has not been working for me. This happened with another downloadable command for a different package I installed but I fixed it by adding it to my file path. I can't find the path to wg-quick after running which wg-quick and find / -iname wg-quick. Did wg-quick fail to dowlnoad?

Wireguard Client set up
I am attempting to use my Onion Omega2+ as a client for a Wireguard VPN server that I am setting. I have installed wireguard/wireguard-tols and can use wg to generate private and public keys as well. I was trying to follow OpenWRT's guide to set up a client on Wireguard but I am confused as to where to set the configuration parameters since there is no wiregard or wg0.conf file on my Onion. Any help would be greatly appreciated and the guide is question can be found here: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/vpn/wireguard/client

RE: Installing wireguard requires kernel dependencies to be ignored
@huntc Were you able to successfully use the onion as your WireGuard client? I am currently trying to do that but I am quite lost and could use some help. I have wireguard and the kernel modules installed and wg works. How were you able to set it up? I have previously set up wireguard in ubuntu for both server and client. Any help would be much appreciated

Onion Omega2+ HTTP connection question
I have opened an http server using a simple python command on my Onion Omega2+ (python3 -m http.server 300). When running this on my computer I am able to access the new http server on localhost:3000. How can I access it from my Onion and/or my computer when opening the http server on my Onion. The big picture here is I will open up a server on my computer using that same pythonn3 command, open a websocket tunnel and be able to access the server through the onion when I access the WS tunnel through it but for now I just want to connect to the port that I am opening.

RE: Upgrading Node and Node-npm
@Lazar-Demin If i am not mistaken from the package-lock.json file it has a minimum node requirement of 10.12. Is there a way to update the node on the Onion to that? I tried installing NVM but even after getting it in the onion the command was never recognized

RE: Upgrading Node and Node-npm
@Lazar-Demin Even after following the instructions for node packages that need compiling, I still get the same error message when trying to run node --max_old_space_size=512 $(which npm) install wstunnel. Any other possible solutions or suggestions?
