@crispyoz Yup, that's what I did. It was already enabled and the omega targets didn't have the small_flash feature that would have disabled it.
However, I did figure out the issue. On the beta firmware, when using extroot (booting from external), you can't create a swapfile on / or under any subfolder. It has to be under /overlay. The stable firmware allowed that and it would make sense that it did since /overlay should be the same as /. Anyway problem is fixed!
@Lazar-Demin I tried looking into this as it was pointed out a few times on the OpenWRT forums that since v19 external swap was disabled for many targets. However, it looks like the Omega targets did not have this flag. Since I now have the beta firmware built from source, I will see what I can find out and will open an issue with more details.
@crispyoz Sorry, I was in the folder where the swap.page was when I posted that but I did run it with an absolute path and it made no difference. I also repeated the same steps on another Omega2 LTE that was on the old/stable firmware and it worked no problems.
The external swap file instructions no longer works on the beta firmware. The swapon command throws an error:
# swapon swap.page
block: failed to swapon swap.page (-1)
I'm running the latest 22.03.3 b106 for the Omega2p on an Omega2 LTE.
Any ideas on how to fix?
Well I just updated to the latest beta firmware and the problem went away! I guess i'll be using that from now on. Everything seems to be working in the beta firmware, will proceed with reinstalling everything.
I decided to upgrade to the latest firmware using the oupgrade -l -f command thinking it would be fine since it's only a build away but it wiped my files and now I can't make any configurations stick due to the factory reset loop. Any ideas on a fix?
Just kidding. It does work. The dock I was testing with was defective. Good thing I bought two!
I couldn't find anything definitive in the documentation but does anyone know if the ethernet expansion dock works with the Omega2-LTE board?

So far we want to make hook up one or two BNC connector (with voltage divider/LLC) to GPIO pin(s) and maybe add a USB hub in-between the Omega SoC/LTE module to support more USB devices (from what I gathered the LTE is module is directly tied to the USB pins on the SoC).

They work well for WiFi/LTE/GNSS but you need 4 of them for completeness.

They work as well as the ones I used before except you have to cross the LTE and diversity wires over each other when the antenna front/label is facing you or twist the wires around so the connectors line up when the antenna back/label is facing you.
@Lazar-Demin would it be possible to get source CAD design file(s) for the Omega2 LTE board? No preference for CAD software used.

Also, as a sanity check, were the SIM cards you tried inserted correctly? I originally inserted mine wrong on accident 
I used opkg install --force-depends to make it install in the absence of an official fix for now as I figured the slight difference in actual vs required kernel versions won't affect this module. Would be nice to get an official fix for it.

I see that the schematic and layout files in PDF are available on GitHub but I was wondering if there is a way to get the source design file from the CAD design software used so a designer can easily make modifications to the design instead of recreating the layout and schematics from the PDFs?
The Omega2 LTE board has been great and we would just like to make a few modifications to make it perfect for our project!

I just bought two Omega2 LTE boards and need some help choosing the correct RF antennae for the main and diversity LTE antennae and the GNSS antenna. Had a hard time finding documentation on this and I'm new to all this so asking the community to share specs and links to help clue me in.
