@Luciano-S. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I cannot get the unit to boot like it did in the past, only get it into u-boot mode.

Thanks for the advice, I did spend a few hours trying lots of things. I did get something to work and it looked like i had access to uboot, tried again without any luck. I used screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200 in PuTTY .
If I do a factory reset I get these two lines in PuTTY. I cannot enter via keyboard/mouse.

Button was pressed for 10 sec...
Starting U-Boot netconsole...

It freezes at this point.

This is in PuTTY when I do a normal power up. Not sure what what it is doing.
Will try again tomorrow from a different PC and a different USB cable.

I cannot connect vis SSH and also cannot connect with http://omega-0b85.local/
Both did work fine before I did the oupgrade
Only have the mini dock.

The other thing I have done is:-

Press and hold the reset button.
Attach power to usb.
The light blinks.
After 10 seconds the light goes solid.
release the rest button
The light is now solid.

I have also run both PuTTY and MobaXterm on COM4 after the above, but still cannot get it to communicate.

All I get is a green cursor.
Pressing any key on the keyboard does nothing,
I have tried setting COM4 to both 9600 and 115200 BPS.
At this point the light on the board is off.

Today (20 July) I logged onto my omega via WiFi and did an oupgrade -force command.
After a very slow download it eventually came back to say it had upgraded me to the new version. The last line was something like "Could not delete files" that I have never noticed before.

Now when I power up the omega the light blinks once, followed by a solid light for 5 seconds then it goes out.
I am connected via PC and it can see Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge (COM4) connecting to this with PuTTY gives me no results?

Any ideas what to do next, I have tried holding down the reset button for 11 seconds with no effect.

Went into advanced SHH settings and X11-forwarding was ticked. Unticked the box and no error.

I get an error just after I login as root.

sh /usr/bin/xauth: not found

I have checked the directory /usr/bin/ and it does not have xauth.

Any ideas as to what it does? The system appears to be working fine.

Would like to purchase another one, but get an error when I try to log in to the store?
I have raised a ticked about this problem.

Mine has broken off in the on position so it is working fine.
