Just flashed FW 0.2.0-b197 on one of them and got something different: it fails faster!

I didn't find the FW version in the boot log tough, just a Done! message at the end of the flashing process. Next thing will be to change environment where WiFi networks are on the low side. Here's what I get with b197 on the Omega2 (not +):

Hi guys,
I'm glad to see people are invested in this community.
Got a second unit with an expansion dock and get the same results, the only difference is that the reboot actually happens. I just can't believe I got 2 units DOA, i'll then follow your theory about SSID's.
I will use this setup to upgrade the FW and post results here.

Allright, got a serial terminal from the BD as @György-Farkas pointed out.
I don't have enough privileges to upload a file with the whole output, so here's the whole thing. Shit seems to hit the fan pretty near the end. Do you think this is user-fixable or is it simply a DOA unit?

You mean PC USB power? That's how Onion.io instructs everybody to do it in the First Time Setup guide. Maybe it's time it gets updated!

@György-Farkas I have a USB-TTL cable like this one that I'll try tonight with the BD. I'll also try with a 5V wall adapter, should provide more power. I have an Expansion Dock in the mail, along with another Omega2 unit. I'll post results here...

Hi to the Onion Omega community! First-time user here.
I just got my Omega2+ with Power Dock 2.
Powered from USB port on my laptop PC.
When switching it on:
Dock blue LED turns ON
Followed by Omega2 amber LED ~1s later
Omega LED stays ON for ~6s then starts to blink
Blinks for ~25s then turns ON
Stays ON for ~2s then turns OFF and remains OFF.

WiFi Omega2-xxxx is never seen, neither on my laotop or or my phone.
Is my unit DOA?
Any idea?

I only have the Power Dock 2 and the Breadboard Dock, so no serial console available apprently. Will get the Expansion dock and see what I get.
