Im currently using omega2S with the old style USB-A port in my product.
But people keep asking for USB-C port.
Im wondering if I can use the USB-C connector with omega2S.
If so can someone post a schematic on how to do that?
The speed of USB-C doesnt matter, they just want the USB-C port itself.

I want to run a shell script after booting openwrt by putting the script into the files folder so that when i build openwrt my scripts are automatically included in the build.
I read that there is a folder called "files" in the root source openwrt build directory (~sourcce/files), anything placed in that folder will get included when you build openwrt.
For example if you put a file in ~/source/files/etc it will appear in the /etc folder when you flash the binary to the onion device.
So I tried that and it worked. The files do appear in there. So I read on this website:

That to get a script to run after boot up, I just need to put my script into /etc/init.d folder, then enable that script.
But it seems if i try to type
/etc/init.d/<your script> enable
that enable function doesnt work in the onion openwrt docker for some reason.
It gives an error that it cant open /etc/rc.common
my script has execute permissions and has this in it:
#!/bin/sh /etc/rc.common
echo "hello"
Does anyone know how to get a script to automatically run after booting openwrt, and have that script be apart of the build so that it automatically runs after boot after i flash it without having to type any other commands after flashing?

@crispyoz It only needs to keep track of time when its switched ON. If its switched off and then back on, then it doesnt need to know the time for my application, it only needs to keep track of time if i set the time while it stays on, if its turned off, then it no longer matters.
@crispyoz So there is no way to prevent the code (either the one in the flash, or the one running in memory) from getting read out and recreated?
@crispyoz Thanks for the information. But no it doesnt need to be extremely accurate, just be able to keep track of the time once i set it either by using command line or in code.
Also it wont be connected to any external internet servers, so it cant update the time using that. I just want it to keep a rough estimate of the time using just the Omega2S by itself with no additional hardware or external servers.
For example if i set it to 1AM, and then check the time 1 hr later it should say its 2AM (plus or minus 1 minute or so) would be fine.
Can it do that now without modification?

Is it possible to set the time on the omega2s, and it keeps track of the actual time?
For example at the prompt i can type "date" and it gives me some random date, if i set the actual date and time, will it be able to keep the actual real-time and date from then on, until i turn off the power of course.

@crispyoz Ok, Thanks for the help, i just tried what you suggested, I moved the file to 36-spi-gpio, created a new file 37-spi-gpio-custom, and inserted the command in there, then rebooted. Here is the result below (executed after i rebooted). It still didnt work.
I noticed that there is already a spidev0.1 in the /dev directory, maybe thats why it cant add another one? I tried removing that module using rmmod spi-dev, and then adding the new one but i get the same error.

root@Omega-EB02:/tmp#Working with this omega2S soldered to my board is very frustrating, the smallest thing and it stops working. This is my 4th one bricked in 2 days, i dont even know why its bricked, I was just using it and then suddenly no more WiFi, so im now dead in the water with this thing.
There needs to be some kind of omega2s cable that can plug into a omega2S development board socket and then the other end plugs into your PCB so its easy to debug, if it gets bricked you can easily de-brick it using the development board end of the cable. Now its almost impossible to debrick, i dont even know why it was bricked in the first place and there is no way to debug it on my PCB. Im just at the mercy of this thing, the slightest breeze or if you look at it too hard then its bricked again WTF!! Then waiting days ordering parts and such to get it resolved, this way is just not acceptable.
Anybody has a good way to develop a product using this surface mount omega2s soldered to your own PCB? From what i been reading, If it gets bricked the only way out seems to be un-soldering all those pins and trying to debrick it using some other development board, and then soldering it back, its totally crazy.

I think somehow i bricked my Omega-2S surface mount device that is soldered to my custom PCB.
To restore it to the factory, all i need to do is take a wire and pull GPIO-38 to 3.3V for more than 10 seconds, is that correct?

I did a fresh build of the whole onion kernel using docker.
I need to have 3 SPI devices using bit bang. So i installed kmod-spi-gpio-custom module like this

Package kmod-spi-gpio-custom (4.14.81-1) installed in root is up to date.
But then when i type insmod i get this error

@DumTux wont the vias from Omega2S at the bottom short with the vias from my circuit if i run my routes under the omega2S? Omega2S has a million vias under there., one of them is bound to touch mine.
