Yet another forum thread that's saved my bacon. I've been absolutely head-deskingly stumped at the weirdness of the GPIO on my Omega2+. Pins 0 and 1 seemed to work, but not a single other pin.

It turns out that a combination of this exact problem- woefully incorrect labelling- and the SPI being (as far as I can tell) baked into the kernel and permanently glommed onto the SPI pins (incorrectly labelled 6,7,8,12 on this board) totally explain my confusion.

I've had to use the Omega2 pinout, and manually trace the routes between socket and header to figure out what's going on. Argh!

Also came back after a few weeks and bricked mine. Wish I'd read the forums first I guess I'd hoped the issues with the Omega2+ would be over and done with after ~4 months of grappling with it. I clearly guessed wrong =/

I figured "fine, I'll recover it back to an old firmware." Or maybe not. I have an "EXP DOCK" with pinout silk for the original Omega, but noticed the USB pins are the same. But for love nor money I can't get the Omega2+ to see any USB mass storage device. I've tried 5-6 separate devices now from microSD cards in readers, to USB thumb drives, but... nada.

Just attempt after attempt resulting in:

D'oh! I wish I'd caught this thread a few days ago, it must have cropped up right after I started searching for the same problem.

Thanks for the rollback tips @WereCatf - I may hang tight and wait for a firmware update to fix it.

On the plus side, I have a built and tested toolchain now! But of course the fast-gpio I compiled from source didn't work either.
