@Lazar-Demin I was able to successfully create a swap file. This approach really did something as the installation went on even further, although, it failed later on. This are the complete logs with double --verbose flags (Had to upload to google drive due to length and file extension restrictions with the forum post editor)

I can clearly see that I get OSError: [Errno 28] No space left on device which seems weird as I have plenty of memory left in the overlay storage:

I'm trying to install python's module aioserial (https://pypi.org/project/aioserial/) and I'm getting the following error:

This is not the first time pip has failed to install a package on the omega. This happens often and depending on the situation I usually switch between using opkg and pip to install python modules, but this time I don't have aioserial available in the openwrt package feed that has python packages to download.

I tried this on an omega running openwrt 18.06 and another one running openwrt 22.03 I even used a freshly flashed one running 18.06. I got the same results in all of my attempts. I would really appreciate some help,

I actually figured this out about a month ago.

1. Create web application. You can use vanillajs or any framework of your preferrence (react, vue, svelte, angular, etc).

2. Make a production build of your project (dist files/static files).

3. Make an app.json file, add it to the root of your project and use the following structure:

4. Drop your project folder (the production build) to /www/apps/. Also, I usually renamed it with the prefix oos-app-, I didn't look too much into it, so I can't tell if it's necessary or not to recognize the app.

It is possible to run django on the omega, as the omega can run python 2 & 3.

It is also possible to implement a webserver in your custom application. You just need to understand that the way custom applications are displayed is due to an HTML component called <iframe> which fetches and runs embedded web applications retrieved from the provided src attribute.

Hint: The src component can be a server endpoint which serves static files. I have never tried it, but I'm almost positive it should work.

To answer your question, I'm working on a react application that makes calls to the webserver running in the omega2, and also, I need the new features of the beta firmware like a more recent node version for other functionalities,

I have flashed my omega2s+ with the new beta firmware and I'm trying to run OnionOS on it. I installed the following packages using v18.06 onion_packages package feed:

• onion-os
• uhttpd
• uhttpd-ubus-mod
• onion-ubus

Right now, I'm able to log in to OnionOS but that's as far as it goes, the request to get installed apps is returning the following:

My guess would be that I'm missing packages that are necessary for this to work properly, but I'm not sure which. By the way, I have also installed shellinabox which would be the terminal app, so technically I already have an app installed

If anyone can share some knowledge to fix this I would appreciate it .

I flashed my omega2s+ with the newly released beta firmware based on OpenWRT 22.03.3. One of the problems that I'm facing right now is that most of the packages that used to come pre-installed (like onion-os or uhttpd) are not installed. Is this a normal thing or am I missing something? Also, how can I compile my own image based on OpenWRT to select the packages I would like to have pre-installed?

In the OpenWRT-Packages Repo I'm able to find the production build for the OnionOS, but I would like to have access to the unbundled code to make some modifications for a personal use case, is this possible?

I'm also aware of the existence of the Onion Legacy Console Repo, but I'm specifically looking for the OnionOS source code,
