Short update to my question. As far as I understand the problem isn't the pyserial library. It seems like the problem is how linux works with serial devices. Often the tty port itselfs don't allow more than 115kbits. So normally you can modify the port to support higher speeds. So I have to execute the following commands:
apt-get install setserial
setserial -a /dev/ttyUSB0 spd_cust
setserial -a /dev/ttyUSB0 divisor 96
stty cs8 -parenb cstopb -F /dev/ttyUSB0 38400
setserial -a /dev/ttyUSB0

But unfortunately setserial and stty are not availible in the repros. But I found them in some newer repros at openwrt. Next problem I have is, that setserial is not working. I get the following error:

Cannot get serial info: Not a tty

i want to use the usb connected to a usb2serial adapter with 250000 bits/s. But the pyserial packet allows only 115000. Can anyone give me a hint to upgrade the packet? There are a few informations about this problem using a rpi (http://www.alexenglish.info/2014/04/patching-pyserial-fix-baud-rate-limitations) but as far as I understand this only happens in older versions of pyserial. Since 2.7 it should be solved. I use 3.4.
So mybe it's not a problem with pyserial but with a kernel modul?

Short update, i found out, that we need an additional kernel module to read the correct values from the DS2438. My wiring should be ok but the kernel module is missing. I found the following infos:

Ok, i read the thread but unfortunately I don't understand all details. I understand the wiring, but what level converter will be used there? A PCA9306?
My testing shows the same problem as described in that thread. The 1-Wire DS2438 device is found, but the Value can't be read via cat .../w1_slave.
...the file is not found.
Is there a problem with the driver because of the DS2438 used a different method to send there data to the 1-Wire?
Do I understand the part "Or ask the author of the custom 1-wire code." Correctly?

has anyone connected a DS2438 1-Wire IC to our omega 2? I have configured my omega as descripted here (https://onion.io/2bt-reading-temperature-from-a-1-wire-sensor/) and this is working very well with the temp sensor. But now I want to connect a DS2438 Sensor and this one does not work with 3,3V. So my question is, has anyone done this already and can give me a working layout or some hints?

@Volker-Helms Interesting, after a long time testing now I can connect. I have reconfigured my wifi access point from "WPA + WPA2" configuration to "WPA2 (CCMP)" configuration. This works. But the old config does not work. Also "none" encryption does not work. Don't know why.

I also have a lot of problems connection to my wifi. It's a AVM Fritzbox or (an other device) a Unifi Wifi. Can't connect to both of them. I have checked it with encryption On/off. Both does not work. @Lazar-Demin , are you interested in some logfiles? Maybe it's the same as John has but I am not sure. Here are the logs directly after first wifisetup:

Thanks for your support. And @Chris Stratton you are right, capturing a thread is not so good. First I thought it could be the same problem. But you are right, without a serial console I cannot compare it. So i will buy a serial adapter and check what happens then. I will also check if I have a shorting.

Hi again, after some additional investigation i have no idea why my Onion is not booting. I have no extension to check the serial output and so my only info is "wifi not starting" and "draws 160ma after power on". I have created some pictures. Maybe someone can help me to check if there are any bugs on the board.
