Input Voltage for Omega without Dock

Hello,
What is the input voltage for the Onion Omega without the dock? I found 3.3 volts listed somewhere. Is there a safe upper limit or range for the input voltage? Such as 3.3v - 5v?
I want to build my own power supply and bypass the dock.

@Mike The upper limit for Vin is 3.3v. If you need to power the USB port, there needs to be a separate power source.

One more question @administrators, do you know what the power consumption range is for the Omega?
I would like to build a mesh network of sorts. A node or two will be self-sustaining running off of solar and a battery supply 24hr. I'd like to figure out what type of power supply I need to build, with room a little room to spare for cloudy days.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

@Mike The current draw for the Omega is around 200mA. A standard powerbank for your smartphone can power it for 3-4 days without any issue.

Hi, it is old but I am new and also trying to power the Onion without dock. You mentioned to use a powerbank but those are almost standard 5V. I assume that you have mentioned to use PB with dock?

Note that this thread is about Omega, not Omega 2.
Omega 2 is rather picky, consumes more power, and has the habit of demanding high instantaneous current at times when voltage cannot drop below a lower voltage threshold known as brown-out Vcc.
