upgrade to lastest nodejs version?
-
Hi,
What's the best way to upgrade to the latest Node version?
Looks like the version in opkg has been pegged to v4.3.1 for nearly a year: https://github.com/OnionIoT/OpenWRT-Packages/blob/master/nodejs/Makefile#L4 We're now up to v8.9.1, stable.
Does this just need a PR to get merged?
Is there another recommended way for installing Node?Note, I attempted to install
n
to use as a version manager, but there were some problems associated with the limited linux environment. Thanks,
Matt

I went ahead and created a pull request for this at https://github.com/OnionIoT/OpenWRT-Packages/pull/11.
I'm not sure what testing step should be taken to make sure it works. Can someone share those with me?
Is there a way of pointing
opkg
at my fork instead of the normal repo, in order to test? Thanks,
Matt

@Matt-Walters you could try entering a url for the address you keep the files into
/etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf
