Power-dock2 reporting incorrect voltage
-
Hi,
new Power dock and 1200mAh 3.7V LIPO. when run power-dock2 should report voltage 3'7 to 4.1 depending on charge of battery but all I get is 65.99 V? ADC fried?

How you measured teh voltage?
Omega2 is running off 3.3V power. None of the input (including in A/D mode) will be able to directly deal with voltage as 3.7-4.2V without scaling down.
-
@ccs-hello OP has got a Power Dock 2. There is a 2MOhm-8MOhm divider before AIN of the MCP3021.

@andrew-mackay
Are you using the official power-dock2 script?
-
Hi all,
Please note that commandpower-dock2
will output the correct voltage reading only if you are running this command on Power Dock 2. If you are using Power Dock 1 and installpower-dock2
to your Omega, it will not return the proper value as it does not have battery voltage ADC. Please refer to our documentation on Power Dock and Power Dock 2

@Pavel-Metrokhin
Onion Omega2 Documentation Using the Power Dock 2Stationary Mode (this is one of the three different modes)
The Power Dock will still work when the battery is disconnected and the Power Dock is receiving power just from the Micro USB cable.Checking the Battery Level
Thepower-dock2
application allows you to turn on the Battery Level indicator LEDs as well as output the current voltage of the battery on the screen.
You can monitor the voltage on the command line while it is in Battery mode or Stationary mode.I think this remote sensing is one of the few unique features in the World of the Power Dock 2
