Error loading image from USB disk in u-boot

Hi,
I'm trying to load an image from USB disk in u-boot and getting:

Omega2 # fatload usb 0:1 1000000 /kernel.img
ERROR: CTL:TIMEOUT X
BBB_reset
usb_control_msg: request: 0xFF, requesttype: 0x21
value 0x0 index 0x0 length 0x0

Running omega2+ in mini dock.

Is there any workaround for this?

@cbrake the only time I have seen this error was when I was loading a custom firmware from USB. Is this what you are doing?

@crispyoz sorry I missed your reply -- not sure why I did not get a notification.

Yes, we'd like to load customer firmware -- eventually build a rootfs with OpenEmbedded (assuming we can extract kernel sources from the current OpenWrt build).
