Adding Bluetooth Low Energy dongle / installing bluez
-
Is there any information available on how to set up a Bluetooth Low Energy USB dongle on the Omega and install bluez?

Hi @Per-Johan-Groland. BLE drivers and documentation will be made available in the next release of the Console in the next couple of weeks.
Cheers!

Hello,
I'm trying to use the BLE dongle but so far I can't see the device.
I have installed bluez-utils and bluez-lib using opkg install, and tried a lot of things like changing the /etc/config/bluetooth file, but whatever I do, when I runhcitool scan
I get: "Device is not available: Address family not supported by protocol"
When I run
bluetoothd
nothing seems to happen
and when I run
bluetoothctl
I can't write anything in the console anymore and have to ctl C it.

I got my Bluetooth dongle today.
Looking forward to official instructions on how it should be used.
Tried installing the bluetooth kernel extensions and am getting errors:opkg install kmod-bluetooth_6lowpan ... Collected errors: * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for kmod-bluetooth_6lowpan: * kernel (= 3.18.20-1-7bed08fa9c06eb8089e82c200340ec66)
I think I need to try using
opkg --force-depends install
the extension, but i'm no hurry to do it as I don't quite know what to do with Bluetooth once I have it all working.PS: I'm running
Ī©-ware: 0.0.5 b234

tried running
--force-depends
and promptly ran out of space as expected. now cleaning up.

On this new thread @Lazar-Demin said support might be expected shortly...
I hope it's true I'd really like to use my bluetooth expansion
