Omega Breadboard Adaptor?
-
So the Omega (2, 2+) have 2mm pitch on the pins, instead of the 0.100" (2.54mm) pins that are used on all common breadboards and prototyping boards. So it's not possible to directly place the Omega on a breadboard, which would be handy in some situations.
An adaptor would be excellent - something analogous to Sparkfun's XBee breakout which has the same pin spacing issues.
Are there any plans to provide such a thing, or is there a third-party one out there?
If not, I'm tempted to whip one up quickly - it's a simple 1:1 pin mapping.
Would anyone else be interested?
If so, are there any other features I should add (reset pin, power regulator, ?)

@Leif-Bloomquist Count me in! That'd be amazing! I've been speaking about this very issue in another thread. Preferably someone I could sandwich between the onion and the mini-dock would be phenomenal!

Also, I know this thing is $15 but would it work?

Actually, here

Two of these for $6 USD is much more affordable

and... even cheaper $1.99

As another alternative I've found that the Adafruit Pi Cobbler Breakout fits onto the expansion board and allows you to do a very makeshift breakout to a breadboard. It's actually 4 pins short and doesn't break out the outer 4 pins from the expansion dock but those are all duplicated by other pins that are broken out.
More expensive than some of the other ideas here but if you have some laying around from your Raspberry Pi days like me it works in a pinch.

@Stephen-Tunney Ah, yes the 16-pin one was pretty much exactly what I had in mind (though both on the same board). Great find!
I think you meant to link to this Digikey part: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/chip-quik-inc/F200T254P16/F200T254P16-ND/5978219
Argh, and I just placed a large Digikey order this morning

Hmm, the 2mm headers themselves are pretty hard to find. This would fit the bill:

@Kit-Bishop said in Omega Breadboard Adaptor?:
ega2
Ok, boooo @Kit-Bishop Shameless plug in your own forums? For shame!
Just kidding. Just thought the post was funny. I thought perhaps the Omega2 would be breadboard compatible.
