Omega 2 has changed its MAC and therefore Wifi

While banging my head against a wall trying to get SPI to work, my Omega2 reset itself and has changed its MAC address. After it reset I noticed the wifi (Omega-C061) had changed to (Omega-00A8). I then ran the setup wizard and ran ifconfig and got the following:
root@Omega-00A8:~# ifconfig
apcli0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 02:00:00:00:00:A8That is definitely not a correct mac. Anyone have an ideas?

@Mark-Fisher this has been discussed before and mention was made that an omega2[+] seems to have multiple addresses depending on the network interface. you could try a search on mac address to gain background on issue.
