System mounted as read-only

I opened up my Omega's terminal and got a message that said:
"Your JFFS2-partition seems full and overlayfs is mounted read-only.
Please try to remove files from /overlay/upper/ ... and reboot!"
When I try, for example, to create a directory, I get this:
root@omega-****:~# mkidr test
mkdir: can't create directory 'test': Read-only file system
Does anyone know the solution to this issue?
Thanks in advance.

yeah, i think that is just the way it is with the file system when space gets short. however, one thing you can do is the pivot-overlay procedure,
