Console with only terminal and appmanager
-
I just got my Omega2+. During the setup it doesn't ask to install the console. When I revisit the website (192.168.3.1 or its local IP), it has a logon screen with only 3 options:
-docs
-appmanager
-terminalThrough apps I can install the 'legacy console' but that sounds rather legacy. What should I do?
I have not inserted any storage.

I did not understand this part of your question, but I understood that you want to fix Onion console. You can do this through the terminal by entering the following commands:
uci set onion.console.setup=1
uci set onion.console.install=2
uci commit onion
On the Omega’s next reboot, the Console will be installed automatically.
Also, you can install the Onion console with the commandopkg install onion-console-base
.Even if you did not inserted any storage, the space on Omega should be enough.

@CAP-33 Thanks! It wasn't installed according to opkg list-installed. It could not be installed by means of opkg install onion-bla. Because the package was not in the repo. After opkg update , opkg install onion-bla worked.... Thanks

However, It still doesn't work... Shall I post a screenshot?

Yes, please post a screenshot

I do not understand what your problem is. You can not log in Оnion console? To do this, go to192.168.3.1/console
-
That actually works. I think I missed that the console could (only) be reached by 'private wifi ip=192.168.3.1' plus path /console.
I thought http://192.168.3.1/OnionOS/ or http://192.168.178.16/OnionOS/ would show up as the console, or contain a link / button to it.
It is still a bit mysterious why the installer did not properly install the console.(...)

The installer has installed everything correctly. It is so specifically conceived that when entering on 192.168.3.1, Onion OS was opened because Onion console is not installed in new Omega2 during installation. To fix this, you may need to edit the file /www/index.html
