Mini Power dock

I really like the idea (and size) of the Omega2 series. Unfortunately I need to carry the device around which works quite well with a LiPo battery. The only thing I find annoying is the size of the power dock.
Is there any chance of building a mini power dock without the extension header?
Does anyone know which Power Management Chip is used?

@Max-Mayer Active-Semi's ACT2801 is the Battery Management IC on the Omega's Power Docks.

@Max-Mayer onion does sell a mini dock but it lacks a battery port. it might be possible to feed 5v or 3.3v thru the usb micro b port though.
