IIO Driver support on openWRT

Hi,
I am working on a project where I have an SPI ADC sampling data. I want to connect Omega 2+ with that an acquire samples. I wanted to do this in the kernel level and planning to write/use IIO device drivers. But the default OS doesn't seem like has IIO features enabled.
Question is:

1. Can I create IIO devices in omega 2+ openWRT build?
2. Will all the IIO features available on the openWRT? Like triggered buffers?
