Difficulties Updating or Resetting Omega2+

After having it for over a year now, I am trying to practice with small computer projects like the Omega. I believe I had set it up originally. However, at the moment, when I connect it and go to the home page with apps, it eternally buffers when trying to download the Terminal app. When I either try to update or perform a hard reset of the Omega2+, the same thing occurs.
Does anyone know how to resolve these issues? Since I haven't completed anything on it, I have no problem with wiping it clean. It's just a matter of getting it to complete that action.

@Scruffy Have you connected using a serial console? What firmware version are you using?

I am connecting using my laptop. As for the firmware version, when I go to that part under "Firmware Update", the section is left blank, as it is stuck checking for updates.

Reset was successful, and now I can start from scratch. Thanks for informing me on the alternative method.
