Creating Derivative work on Onion Schematics

Hi
We have a requirement for which Onion Board + Ethernet expansion would be a great fit. However we cannot use the current form factor. I saw that there are plans to release schematics. (https://github.com/OnionIoT/Onion-Hardware)

Question is, would Onion encourage such derivate works? How would the licensing work for upstream components like Atheros A933? Did Onion pay Qualcomm a license fee to use this chip?

Same here - but unfortunately releasing the schematics is dragging along for a long while now, see https://community.onion.io/topic/421/schematics/13

While there are some schematics that can be found at: https://github.com/OnionIoT/Onion-Hardware/tree/master/Schematics - while these are very useful (and thanks for these :-)), they only cover docks and expansion boards.
What would be really useful is the schematics for the Omega itself.
