I have wifi issues with both of my o2p, they will not connect to my MikroTik router. This is crticial for IoT, because Ethernet is just so archaic.
There has been no firmware updates since March.
Is the project practically dead now? I see only marketing related updates on the website...
I have noticed, that the two boards I received in May are slightly different to the original January version. Is it better or worse?
I have learnt that Mediatek is not really maintaining the SDK for MT7688 chipset anymore. What are the consequences of this situation to your project?
Any kind of reply will be appreciated. It doesn't need to be supportive. I am ready to write off my USD 40 I have invested, just send me a signal if it is not worth to invest any more time with these boards.

I made the same mistake in my desparation to get this piece of .... omega2+ to work with my MikroTik router.
For me it was a lot easier to hold the reset for 10 seconds and perform a factory reset ...

The MicroUSB Port receives 5V power and uses it directly to power the ATmega328P chip. The Dock comes equipped with a voltage regulator to step the voltage down to the required 3.3V for the Omega.
I am just as disappointed, unhappy and annoyed as you guys.
Fact is, I could not connect to any MikroTik router.
(WPA1PSKWPA2PSK/AES, 802 b/g/n) - I am just not in the mood to play around with the settings yet.
It did connect to my Cisco E2000 (WPA2PSK/AES)
